denomination of the chief of a Sacred House (Babalorixá, father of saint).
Tantans
Africans drums used in the communication of wars; symbol of
political resistance.
Terreiro de Candomblé
Also denominated “roça”: yard; sacred space where the traditional
African religion is venerated; it is also an association of the followers
and it gives due to respectable communities.
Xoroquê

Entity that unites the characteristics of two Orishas: Exu and Ogun,
in the Candomblé of Brazil – Angola nation in São Paulo. In the case
of the Film Ôrí, Ogun Xoroquê is a quality of Ogun, underlay
(at the basis of) Exu, as well.
Yaô (Yawô)
Priestess in the moment of the initiation, or during the liturgical
ceremony, the same as “filha-de-santo” (daughter-of-saint).
