Caboclo
An entity incorporated to the “Terreiros” (Sacred Houses) of
Candomblé and Umbanda; a dweller of the forests, waterfalls,
rivers, etc…; he is part of the Amerindian and African syncretism;
also the ancestral of the warriors and hunters from America.
Ebó
Offering; when it is annual, it follows the liturgical calendar of the
various Orishas; its finality is to ask for or to reestablish, harmonically,
the relationships between the beings of Nature; “that, which man is
transforming, in communion with Nature”; rebuilds the “Axé” through
the tactile-symbols which represents.
Ekedi
Priestess, not-initiated, who takes care of the administration of
the “Terreiro” of Candomblé; the auxiliary of the Yalorixá
(the “Mother”-of-saints).
Exú
From the Yoruba; “the dynamic beginning and the expansion of
everything that exists” (ibd.).
